Isn't it ironic that Indian officials are now looking into something that has happened in a neighbouring country, when the Sikhs who were butchered and raped in their own backyard have still not got justice?

Also, I find it very hard to believe that the very same Afghans that fought alongside Sri Guru Gobind Singh are committing these offences today. Maybe its more of a diversion by the Indian Government to take the away the heat from the grant bailed to Sajjan Kumar. I find that a lot more believable than the 'Taliban murdering Sikhs who refuse to convert to Islam' story. Open your eyes people.

WJKK WJKF What is the difference between this act of violence and that what happened in the Guru's time? Fanatics were murdering people and asking them to convert and the Guru's fought against them. This is not about Muslims and Sikhs. There are a lot of good Muslims out there. It is about ignorance, oppression, violence and fanatics. I am not surprised by this incident, although it is very sad and painful. As long as ignorance and an unenlightened mind exists then such acts of violence will always exist. Fanaticism and the belief that only one religion is truthful over all religions will always cause problems. There are fanatics or extremists in Sikhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and all religions. Most religions have acted out of violence when they start believing their way is the only way and that they are right. It is not the religion necessarily that is the problem, it is people and their minds. Sikhism is not about protecting just "sikhs". Guru Teg Bhadarji died for the Hindus. Sikhism is about standing up to injustice against humanity. Sikhism is about humanity. Guru Nanak Dev Ji said something along there lines of there is no religion, only humanity. When violence and injustice are happening to anyone, weather they are Christian, Muslim, Sikh, African, Chinese, American, yellow, purple, blue, gold, any other human being it is a problem.

What about the injustice happening to the Monks and people in Burma? What about the injustice to the people in South Africa? In Afghanistan? In Cameroon? as "Sikhs" or rather as human beings shouldn't we be worried about all these acts of violence, oppression and injustice? Not only those who are "Sikhs". Humanity is suffering on the whole. Sikh means learner and it is not the label that is important, it is how you conduct yourself, your behavior and what you do. If we are going to do anything, yes we need to get active, get politically minded and educated. There is nothing wrong with Muslims, but just fanatic ignorant ones. The question is what are we doing as human being to make the world a better place? How do we be compassionate but active human-beings? How do we affect change? How do we educate ourselves and not be ignorant ourselves? How do we be saints and soldiers again?

We can't be against all Muslims as that is ignorance too and it is no good separating ourselves from the rest of humanity as humanity is one.

They claim to be true muslims-Under the Islamic Sharia -non muslims must convert to islam or pay Zajia - if they dont or cant afford to pay Islamic Tax then they must accept Islamic ritual death. The brave Sikhs were true to their faith like our Guru who accepted to be martyred in Chandni Chouk rather than accept the islamic religion by forcefull conversion, he saved other religion in India and the Brahmins of Kashmir were saved from being converted but they have been forced to leave Kashmir after invasion by Pakistan that resulted in islamic insurgency and are still camped in Jammu.

I think this is totally wrong with those two shaheed sikh in pakistan.India goverment should take very strong action about those taliban and pakistan goverment.

Indian Govt. is going to meet Pak deligation so they should discuss the issue of safety and open-door policy for minorities. India should allow minorities who wish to leave the trouble hit country and come settle in India. This is the right time for all those sikhs that did not got the chance to migrate in 1947.

Sikh militancy is the only solution we need to put political pressure on british/western government's to supply covert funding to Sikh groups in pakistan and afghanistan. We need to establish Sikh militia's and secure area so that Sikhs can be protected by their own people instead of relying on the facist muslims who do not care for the lives of non-muslims.

The "convert to Islam or die" angle of this story seems a bit fabricated to me. Its the media sensationalising a story into something its not. It appears more likely to be a business dispute between rival clans

This is barbaric act against Sikhs by the Taliban. These Sikhs are citizen of Pakistan. Therefore India may not take much interest. No time has come when Sikhs need to have a world body representing Sikhs so that their problems can be represented collectively. God bless those killed Sikhs and peace to their families. Why can the muslims live in non muslim countries relevently freely but non-muslims in muslims countries have to face discrimination and pressure to convert. I'd like to know what is the government of Punjab going to do - we should make it clear to mr taliban there is a muslim majority city in east Punjab - Makerolata - if this sort of thing continues the muslims there should come under pressure to convert to Sikhism. I know this flies in face of what Sikhism means and not the message of our Gurus.

I think this is very bad asking the sikhs to convert into Islam. If they refused why should their heads be chopped off.I strongly think the Indian government ought to put pressure about these Talibans on the Palistani/Afghanistan government that sikhs should not be tortured like this. They ought to live as they like.

The only way we can stop this from happening, is to get our own country: Khalistan!
